The Louisiana Soccer Association has named two of Mandeville Soccer Club’s staff in their annual “of the Year” awards. MSC Director of Coaching Shane Jeanfreau was named the Louisiana Soccer Association Boys Competitive Coach of the Year. Tanja Moree, MSC Club Administrator, was named the LSA Administrator of the Year. Moree was also named the US Youth Soccer Region III Administrator of the Year. Region III covers 11 states in the southeastern United States. Mandeville Soccer Club Board President Scott Gutterman noted, “We’ve known how lucky we are to have Shane and Tanja at Mandeville Soccer Club. It’s nice to see the state also appreciates their hard work and dedication to the sport and to the kids involved.” Also at the awards ceremony, two MSC players were recognized for making their respective regional teams. Andrew Tarbell was recognized as having made the Region III 1993 Boys Olympic Development Pool. Tarbell played with the Region III team in a tournament in Orlando, Florida, in December and is scheduled to travel with the team to Brazil in February. He plays goalkeeper for the MSC Lakers U17 Boys. MSC player Colin Hanley made the Region III 1996 Olympic Development Pool. Hanley plays goalkeeper for the MSC Lakers U13 Boys team.
