The birth year your child was born is the age group your child will be registered. Your players birth year must be 2021 or older to register. For example, 2021 birth year players will play in our 5U ages group.

5U-6U Do not have practices during the week. 7U thru 10U

Recreational practice one weeknight per week, and Academies and older teams’ practice 2 weeknights per week. Recreational practices begin the week of August 25th. 

Families may choose either to sign up for Recreational soccer program or join the Academy program. The MSC Academy program is designed as the next level for 9U and 10U players who are ready to progress from recreational soccer to a more structured training and playing program. . Recreational and academy uniforms are purchased separately at Third Coast Soccer. Third Coast Soccer contact: 985-237-6100. The cost of the recreational uniform is about $45 and will include 1 light blue and 1 black jersey. MSC recreational players will also wear any black shorts and black socks as part of their gameday uniform. The cost for the competitive uniform is about $150 and will include 1 black, and 1 blue jersey, 1 black short, 1 white pair of socks, and 1 black pair of socks.

All players must provide and wear properly sized shin guards. Soccer cleats are optional but recommended; baseball cleats are not allowed. All players should bring a ball and water to games and practices. Ball Sizes: 5U-8U use a #3 ball, 9U-12U use a #4 ball and 13U and above use a #5 ball.

5U and 6U Rookies receive participation trophies in the fall and the spring, 7U through 10U recreational receive participation trophies after the conclusion of the soccer year in the spring. 

Photos are taken for 5U and 6U Rookies in the fall and spring. 7U and older photos are taken during the spring season only.
